The TRAVEL WEST FORUM, the major innovative conference on Tourism in Western Greece, after its successful first edition in April 2024, was held for the second consecutive year on Friday, March 28, 2025, aiming to explore how the wider region could evolve into a hub for alternative tourism.

Given that Greek tourism is entering a new era — shifting towards sustainable and alternative forms of travel beyond the saturated "Sun & Sea" model — the conference sought to identify ways in which Western Greece could follow the country’s upward trend in the tourism sector, leveraging its unique competitive advantages.

The conference was organized by thebest.gr, the leading news media outlet in Western Greece, with the participation of the Region of Western Greece, in co-organization with the Chamber of Achaia, in collaboration with the Port Authority of Patras, and under the auspices of the University of Patras.
